Berta was born in Madrid, Spain. Her interest in photography began when she was a teenager and led to choosing photography at art school.
Once established as a photographer, she decided to expand her training and study cinematography. She graduated from ECAM film school in Madrid in 2005, and began working in the camera department of Spanish films.
In 2009, she moved to the Netherlands to work as a cinematographer. Since then she divides her work and personal life between Madrid and Amsterdam, working mainly on advertising and documentary projects. Never abandoning her great passion for still photography, she continues to document social issues and taboo subjects for different agencies and magazines
